Our own Jud Mallini was pleased to participate as part of a team of representatives for the Financial Planning Association of Northeast Florida, answering financial questions for members of the greater Jacksonville community. The panel set up a phone bank that afforded community members the opportunity to call in and get advice and answers on financial questions like retirement savings, budgeting and tax planning. The event was part of the 6th annual Jacksonville Wise Money Week, a week of activities and events promoting the importance of good money management and providing financial education to help the community be more wise about money topics and issues. The week offers programs, classes and activities for all members of the Jacksonville community, all ages and income levels. “We’re seeing less pensions these days says so saving is very important,” said Mallini. “A good rule of thumb is to aim to save at least 10% of our earnings, do whatever you can but this should be your goal.”
