Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A thorough financial plan takes significant time and analysis to ensure it’s tailored to your situation. From reviewing your financial documents to conducting the analysis and creating your personalized recommendations, I typically spend 12–20 hours on each plan.
This includes:
- Reviewing and organizing your financial information before our consultation
- Conducting a deep-dive analysis into your savings, investments, retirement, insurance, and estate planning
- Developing a customized, actionable plan aligned with your goals
- Documenting clear next steps so you know exactly what to do
- Providing two months of follow-up support to answer any questions as you implement your plan
This level of detail ensures you receive a complete, well-structured financial plan—not just generic advice, but a roadmap you can confidently follow.
Absolutely—this is an investment in your financial future, not just another expense. Many clients find that their plan pays for itself by helping them:
- Avoid costly mistakes with investing, insurance, and estate planning
- Optimize savings & investments for long-term financial security
- Reduce unnecessary investment expenses by selecting cost-effective options
- Gain clarity and confidence knowing exactly what steps to take
For those who want expert guidance but prefer to manage their own investments, hourly planning provides a clear, actionable roadmap with no ongoing fees. Others may prefer an ongoing advisory relationship, and our firm offers both options depending on what best suits your needs.
No! This is a one-time fee for a fully customized financial plan. If you need additional guidance in the future, you can schedule hourly sessions as a returning client—but there’s no ongoing commitment or hidden fees.
If you’re looking for basic investing advice (not a full financial plan), we offer a Beginner Investor Consultation ($270 for a 1-hour session). This is a high-level conversation about investment fundamentals—there’s no in-depth analysis, just clear guidance on where to start.
Your plan will include a clear, step-by-step roadmap covering:
- How much to save (and where to put it)
- How to structure your investments for your goals
- Tax strategies to reduce unnecessary costs
- Retirement planning and long-term projections
- Insurance and estate planning essentials
Everything is customized to your situation, so you walk away with an actionable plan—not just generic advice.
If you’re unsure, we offer a free 20-minute introductory call where we can discuss your situation and see if financial planning makes sense for you. There’s no pressure—just an opportunity to ask questions and learn more.
That’s completely fine! Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed or unsure about where to start. I’ll guide you through what’s needed, and we’ll work with what you have. Part of the planning process is helping you gain clarity and structure around your finances—you don’t have to figure it all out beforehand.
The financial plan includes clear, step-by-step action items, and you’ll have two months of follow-up access to ask questions as you start making changes. If you need additional guidance after that, returning clients can book hourly sessions as needed.
