Reminder to check your IRA and Roth IRA contribution amounts for 2023 before April 15th!

After April 15th, the tax filing deadline, you will no longer be able to contribute more to your IRAs or Roth IRAs for 2023.  If you are under 50 years old, the maximum contribution amount for 2023 is $6,500.  If you are over 50 years old, its $7,500.

Contribution rules can be tricky, depending on whether or not you have access to an employer-sponsored retirement plan through work, what your adjusted gross income (AGI) is, and other factors.  That’s why we are here!

While we try our best to stay on top of qualified plan contribution opportunities for our clients, one’s tax situation can sometimes change.  Please reach out to us to discuss your 2023 IRA contribution amounts soon if you are unsure about your situation.

Are you a Schwab Client? Have You Logged in to Schwab Alliance Yet?

If not, you may start getting paper statements again soon.

If you opted in to paperless statement delivery on TD Ameritrade’s advisorclient.com, you will need to create your Schwab Alliance login credentials before March 27, 2024 to keep those same preferences at Schwab.

Fortunately, creating credentials is as easy as logging in to Schwab Alliance. Once you log in for the first time, your TD settings will automatically roll over.

Schwab is inviting those clients who previously opted in to paperless preferences but who do not have Schwab Alliance credentials to take action before March 27, 2024. You should have received the first invitation email from Schwab Advisor Services the week of January 15, 2024 and a reminder on March 19, 2024.

Thank you for your trust and confidence, and for allowing us to serve you!
